After almost a 7 month lay off, Cory stepped in to the cage at Heat XC, a MFC promotion and continued were he ended off with another victory, ending the 11 fight win steak of Thiago Goncalves. Cory has been long regarded as the best 170 lb in Canada that was not in the UFC yet and he proved everyone right.
